Walkthrough

From model to front-end.

Connecting a real site's front-end, from setup to rebuilds. Pick a step, or let it play.

Front-end setup gives you the environment variables, generated TypeScript types and a fetch helper.

  • .env values to paste
  • Types from the model
  • A curl command for CI

Read keys for builds, preview keys for drafts, each with an expiry you choose.

  • Read, preview and write
  • Shown once, revoke any time
  • Or a public read API

The types file is regenerated on every model change, so your code knows every field.

  • JSON and TypeScript
  • Private fields left out
  • Blocks as typed unions

Settings › Build hooks call your host when content changes. A burst of publishes makes one build.

  • Publish, unpublish, delete, media, model
  • A Deploy button in every site
  • Signed webhooks for other tools

    REST, read-only

List and fetch entries by type and slug, with pages, sorting, fields, filters, search and relation depth.

    Drafts and previews

Preview keys read drafts, and the editor makes signed preview links that last an hour.

ETags on published responses, and public responses cached at the edge for a minute.

  • 04Hooks

    Build hooks

Call Cloudflare Pages, Vercel or any host's deploy URL after changes, or only from the Deploy button.

  • 05Hooks

    Signed webhooks

POST each change to your tools, signed with HMAC-SHA256 and retried up to three times.

    SEO and languages

Ask for resolved SEO with each page, a locale, or the sitemap, redirects and languages lists.

FAQ

Delivery API, explained.

More in Features

Is there a GraphQL API?

No. The Delivery API is REST, with filters, fields and relation depth to shape each response.

Can I write content through the API?

The Delivery API reads only. Writing goes through the editor, or through your AI app over MCP.

Does Sitessa host my front-end?

No. You host it anywhere. Sitessa calls your host's build hook when content changes.

Which frameworks does it work with?

Any that can fetch JSON. The setup screen has types and a fetch helper ready for Next.js.
